Designer Paper Purse

I made this Purse for a Stampin' Up! Demo gathering last Friday night. This is the purse I made to put the Tess Card, Valentine Treat Holder and the Friends box in to give to each of the ladies. I used Thoroughly Modern DSP with Soft Suede Polka Dot Ribbon and cardstock. I cased this purse from Diana Ball-Sietz.

Here is my tutorial on how to make the bag:
To make a purse you will need 1 sheet of 12x12 Designer Paper (my sample is made with retired DSP)

You will score at 4 1/2" on two sides and 2 1/2" on the other two sides now fold on the score lines.

Put sticky strip on the 4 corners as I have shown here.

Now you will need to fold on a diagonal at the intersections of the outside corners of the cross folds. This will form the bottom of the purse.

You can take off the back sides of the sticky stripe pieces to attach.

You can use the adhesive of your choice or sticky strip again to attach the inward folds.

To make the top part for the purse handles I used 2 pieces of Cardstock 7" x 2 1/2" and scored down the center at 1 1/4" the 7" long way. Attach over the top of each of the purse front and back. Punch holes with the Crop-a-Dile for the ribbon to make handles. I cut ribbon 14" long.
