Lovely as a Tree Top Note

This is the card I made for a meeting last week with my upline. I cased this idea from Jill's blog but I just changed it a little.

I used Kiwi Kiss Cardstock and 5/8" Grosgrain ribbon. Real Red Cardstock with the Top Note Bigz Die. I used Always Artichoke on the stamp set Heard from the Heart . I stamped Lovely as a Tree in Whisper White ink and embossed with Dazzling Diamonds.

Scrapbooking Weekend

There was 12 of us ladies that went to Sunset Shores in Farwell, MI for a Scrapbooking Weekend. We had a great time and got lots of pages and christmas cards done. Ok not that many christmas cards, did ya Lin?!?!? :)
We all try to get together at this resort 1 - 2 times a year. The lady that runs this place is the best she makes us homemade food to die for. When we come home we don't have to eat for days we are so full. But worse than that we have to cook our own food too. She has cabins we stay in and then we go in the basement of her home and do all of are scrapbooking. If you don't scrapbook you can sew, knit, quilt or just join in all the fun and conversations. It was a great time had by all and we look forward to doing it again next year.

Some things I have made recently

This is another Upsy Daisy Card - remember this set is 15% off until the end of this month. I did sponging around the edges and used the Top Note Die Cut and Lg Oval Punch.
This card I cased the idea from Patty Bennett. I used the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die and flipped the flap over the other way so the envelope side will hold a note or gift card inside againt the cardstock. How do you like the Designer Button it is a new one from the Button Bouquet? The color is Riding Hood Red. The DSP is Bella Rose.
This gift box was made using the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die. You just cut out 4 envelopes and attach a inside flap to the next envelope so you have them all in a row and then form the box. Attach the last envelpe to the first envelope. The bottom you fold the flaps in like you for a shipping box, one over the other and then tuck in the last flap. I used Tombow Multi Purpose adhesive with some snail and it is holding together fine. I used the Urban Garden DSP, I really like this paper. The ribbon is Taffeta Whisper White and Basic Gray.
I do have to tell you I did not create this idea on my own I did case it from someone but I am so sorry I don't remember who it was. If you read my blog and you thought of this idea let me know and I will gladly give you credit.

Peace

This card uses the Join in the Cheer Decorative Strip Die and Birds in Bloom Sizzlets with the Big Shot. I used the Baja Breeze cardstock, Peace was die cut from Urban Garden DSP and the snowflakes are from Snow Swirled stamped in White Craft Ink.
I found out something in wrong with my Join in the Cheer Die. After I cut it twice everytime I cut another one the paper has crease lines from the imprint off the cutting pads. I have even turned the cutting pads over and tried on a flat new side and it does the same after the first cut. The first cut is great because the cutting pads are brand new. I called DS and they think it is the die so they are sending me a new. I hope that will solve the problem. None of my other dies have done this to the paper.

Another Pocket Silhoutte

This card uses a bleach technique. You put a little bit bleach in a container with 1 sheet of paper towel folded in half and half again, now this is your stamp pad. Take and stamp your stamp in the bleach and then on your cardstock. When the bleach dries stamp your image in classic stampin ink and stamp just a little left or right of the bleached image. This was a fun, cool and different way of stamping. Give it a try and let me know what you make and how it goes. It is easy.
