Holiday weekend

On my birthday Friday we left to go camping for the weekend in Lansing, MI. We are having a great time and the weather is warm but I am not complaining because it is not raining.
I hope everyone is having a great weekend talk to you when I get home on Monday.

Inspired by Nature & Upsy Daisy

This is the 2 cards I made today that I have been wanting to do. I got some inspiration from Patty Bennett's blog. I just love using the "Big Shot" and the Top Note Bigz die.

I used th Designer Brads with a Rhinestone Brad in the center and a Mini Library Clip.

Look who has a "BIG SHOT" now!!!!

Tthe 2 dies on the upper left are the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die and the Top Note Bigz Die. Then on the right upper is the Join in the Cheer Decorative Strip Die. In the middle (small gray dies) are the Birs & Blooms Sizzlet Dies.
What I have made here is the candy topper out of the Top Note Bigz Die and used the Upsy Daisy stamp set that is 15% off now until Sept 30. The card on the right is made with the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die with a note card inside all which is attached to the front of cardstock. I have to give credit for this card idea to Patty Bennett she make some great things on her blog to go and check it out she is at pattystamps.typepad.com. Thanks Patty!

I have been playing with my new "Big Shot" die cutting machine from Stampin' Up made by Sizzix. This is the best thing ever!!!!

On Sept 2 the "Big Shot" will be available for you to purchase thru me - WOW!!! Stampin' Up will have exclusive dies. This machine will cut up more than 50 different materials - cardstock, fabric, chipboard, plastic just to name a few. This machine is very easy to use and compatible with other dies on the market like quickutz and cuttlebug. You will have to watch for up coming classes I will be offering using the "Big Shot".

You will have to get this machine to see just how easy and fun it is to use.

Aug Card Kit by Mail

Make N Takes from Convention

We made 3 cards, a bookmark, a envelope book, scrapbook page, box w/notes inside and decorated a gift bag.

This is a scrapbook page we made and I got to use the new felt flowers and buttons that are blue.

On the left is a Card with an envelope and the right is a decorated gift bag. We used the free stamp set we got from convention - Inspired by Nature. I didn't think I would like this stamp set but I really do. I bet you will too.
This is a pink box that will hold note cards and envelopes. To make the circle on the front of the box we took ribbon and sewed the edge and then pulled it together to make it into a circle. Put a paper circle with a rhinestone brad in the center and chunky glitter around the edge.

Back from Camping

We went camping in Ludington, MI for 5 days and we just got back today. So that is the reason I have not posted in awhile. I got back from Convention and then started packing to go camping. I have not even had a chance to go thru all my swaps yet.
So here are a few swaps I made.

This card was for a shoebox swap at the 80's Night Event I went too. That was alot of fun! The scallop is made with the Pick-A-Petal Brass Template.
These candy bar boxes are a few of the 3-D General swaps I made.
This one is a Washer Necklace with a rub-on in the center and a rhinestone brad at the top where the knot is. I actually have a few of these left over. If you like this necklace let me know.

Convention is over and my head is spinning

with all the exciting news and wonderful projects. I can not wait to show you. Later this afternoon I will share with you what the new catalog looks like.
I am excited to tell you about a new product we will be offering come Aug 11 - "The Big Shot" by Sizzix!!!!!!! We will have dies exclusive to Stampin' Up! All the dies work on this machine, even the other competitors dies, Cuttlebug, Quickcutz to name a few. I am excited about this product line and I am sure you will too.

At Convention

and having a great time. We are learning and seeing some great stuff. I can't wait to show all of you the new catalog - there is some great stuff in there. There will be some specials soon and I can't wait to tell you all about them.
I am doing a lot of swapping and have lots more to swap yet. I have been in some organized swaps and it has been crazy. I will have to do some creative thinking to pack to come home.
